ABOUT MARGY
Margy brings a varied background of traditional healing systems having raised her family on numerous north and south sea Pacific Islands. Her journey began in the Fiji Islands where she served in the Peace Corps as an agriculture extension agent along with her husband. She traveled amongst the villages and settlements of both Fijian and East Indians learning about their cultural traditions including the use of traditional foods, herbs and native gardening practices. While serving in Fiji she and her husband had their first child which sparked her interest in traditional healing and childbirth. Her family later relocated to Samoa where her studies focused on naturopathy which brought awareness of various nutritional deficiencies in island nations undergoing modernization. After these south sea adventures Margy moved to the island of Maui where she spent 25 years. Here she completed a 4 year Masters Degree in Traditional Oriental Medicine. These studies coupled well with her under graduate degree from the University of Hawa'i where her B.A. focused on Medical Anthropology. Serving the needs of the Maui community she utilized her training in various clinical settings including *Hospice work, residential drug treatment centers (including one for pregnant and new moms), an Eating Disorder treatment center and an integrative medicine clinic.
Margy Campbell is Nationally Board certified through NCCAOM (as a diplomate in Acupuncture) since 1999. She received her Masters Degree in Traditional Oriental Medicine in 1998 from The Hawai`i College of Traditional Oriental Medicine
